Theatre Prom 2022: Moulin Rouge

Sutter Street Theatre and Women’s Theatre Collective are partnering to bring you Theater Prom! This is a traditional prom with a twist. People ages 14 and up can dance the night away to their favorite songs (Including Musical Theatre hits) as well as enjoy refreshments, mocktails, a photo booth, and a talent competition that will result in prom royalty being crowned.

We all deserve a special night when we get to dress up and dance with that crazy group of friends (or even that special someone *wink wink). Everyone is welcome and wanted to come in any prom garb they feel comfortable wearing, and bring their ideal prom date or group. Wether your prom was canceled, you may have missed it in the past, or you were not comfortable, we are inviting you just exactly as you are!

This is a non-alcoholic event.

Admission: Tickets can be purchased online or over the phone at 916-353-1001.  Tickets are $45 from March 8 – 31/ $50 from April 1 – April 23.

Mocktails will be served at the bar as well as soft drinks, drink packages will include 2 drinks for $14 or they can be bought individually (prices will vary).

The Talent Competition: This is a free talent competition that anyone who attends the event can enter. Groups can be any size and can perform anything; this could vary from a song from their favorite show to a dance from a show or movie. At the end of the talent competition there will be a blind vote held and the act that receives the most votes will be crowned prom royalty.

Theme: Drumroll please….. Moulin Rouge! The theme we have chosen is a perfect mix of the elegance of old Hollywood and the fun, fiery attitude of theatre.
